We often need to collaborate with businesses who sponsor our events and in return, we give them brand visibility by giving them some kind of promotion.

If you're an event host, you can absolutely relate with this. when you hosted your last event, how was it like getting sponsors for your event? Was it a stroll in the park? Hell no! It's almost never so. Often times we have to send out a ton of proposals to these brands, and hope for their response and even the ones that respond may sometimes not be responding with the kind of deals we'll want to settle for. There's a whole lot in the details... phew! shout out to all event hosts.

But there's one thing you can do as an event host to have sponsors reaching out to you instead of you being the one to do the outreach. It's a simple strategy that puts you on the spotlight, on the radar of these startups that need visibility for their brand and you simply sit back, receive their calls and negotiate deals as they keep reaching out. Not many persons know this yet, but of course that's to your advantage.

So here's how it works.

When you host an your event on lerida.xyz, you have to meet a minimum participants count (which is currently 50). After which, you can then apply to have your event sponsored right from the event page.

Once you have applied for sponsorship, Lerida will broadcast your event to their pool of event sponsors. These sponsors are often companies, startups and businesses that want to partner with events hosts. They sponsor your event and you spread the word about their brand during the course of the event. Often times, you’ll get a number of startups reaching out to you to negotiate a partnership deal with you for the event.

So there you have it. Cheers to your next sponsored event!

The most analytical ones among us go the extra mailed to keep track of everything damn thing. From budget to resources needed/used even as far as asking event participants who invited them to the event.

The reason is so you know which of your volunteers/community members are putting on the needed effort to rake people into your event. Let's call them evangelists (for the sake of this post).

Some times, these event hosts want to give out gifts to these evangelists, other times, they just want to keep note of them for the recognition. Sometimes it's so they know how to allocate leadership positions and how to spread resources similar to the pareto principle.

Whatever the reason maybe, the best and most successful event hosts often put out forms and surveys to participants and one of the things they want to keep track of is who invited these participants to their event.

Now if you're an event host and you want to make your next event a resounding success, you should do th same also. Lerida.xyz is an event management platform that does that (and more). The main reason we built Lerida was so we could know who the evangelists are in our own Communities.

It works very well, because as people register for our events, they select which of the previous participants invited them. So we all get to see a leaderboard for every event and we're able to know if "Smith" invited 6 people and if Laurie invited 12 or more.

This has proven to be very helpful for community managers and event hosts. So for your next event (whether it's simply a space on X or a full blown conference) you too should use Lerida for the registration. And the let us know how it helped you.

First in the simplest form of it, we simply wanted event hosts and (specifically) Community Managers to be able to tell which of their participants invited other participants to their events. We saw this ad a way to grow Communities.

If I can tell who's inviting more persons to my community events, then with the pareto principle, I know where to focus my attention. If I'm to reward anybody, I know who to reward. Also, since every participant can see each event's leaderboard (and know who invited most persons to that event), more participants will be encouraged to invite others to each event and in that way, the community will grow even faster.

Now, even beyond event registrations we've now been able to give startups the opportunity to partner with event hosts and Community Managers to give these startups brand visibility.

Find out more here: lerida.xyz/mixer

We believe (and as we already see it playing out) this will help many event hosts benefit financially from these partnerships apart from the original value they are already getting from Lerida itself which is being able to monitor event recommendations and participants loyalty.

See our roadmap here: lerida.xyz/roadmap

We our aim is to help Community Managers better build Communities and watching Lerida grow from a passion-based fragile idea to a unicorn level multinational startup is something we too can’t wait to see happen.
