How to get sponsors for your event

Writing and building...

As an event host, let's face it, the bills aren’t going to pay themselves.. right? We often need to collaborate with businesses who sponsor our events and in return, we give them brand visibility by giving them some kind of promotion.

If you're an event host, you can absolutely relate with this. when you hosted your last event, how was it like getting sponsors for your event? Was it a stroll in the park? Hell no! It's almost never so. Often times we have to send out a ton of proposals to these brands, and hope for their response and even the ones that respond may sometimes not be responding with the kind of deals we'll want to settle for. There's a whole lot in the details... phew! shout out to all event hosts.

But there's one thing you can do as an event host to have sponsors reaching out to you instead of you being the one to do the outreach. It's a simple strategy that puts you on the spotlight, on the radar of these startups that need visibility for their brand and you simply sit back, receive their calls and negotiate deals as they keep reaching out. Not many persons know this yet, but of course that's to your advantage.

So here's how it works.

When you host an your event on lerida.xyz, you have to meet a minimum participants count (which is currently 50). After which, you can then apply to have your event sponsored right from the event page.

Once you have applied for sponsorship, Lerida will broadcast your event to their pool of event sponsors. These sponsors are often companies, startups and businesses that want to partner with events hosts. They sponsor your event and you spread the word about their brand during the course of the event. Often times, you’ll get a number of startups reaching out to you to negotiate a partnership deal with you for the event.

So there you have it. Cheers to your next sponsored event!
